 Great
interest in liquid spreading seminar in Germany

On May 5 – 6, 2010, Epoke Maschinenbau and Epoke A/S held a
major seminar on liquid spreading in Fulda, Germany.
Professionals and liquid spreading experts participated in the
seminar, and guests with interest in liquid spreading or who are
already working with this technology attended the seminar in
order to achieve an even more efficient winter road maintenance.
Day 1: External experts delivered lectures on liquid spreading,
preconditions as well as test results currently available in
Germany.
Day 2: Extensive presentation of the Epoke product program for
liquid spreading, as Epoke A/S is the leading manufacturer of
liquid spreaders in Europe. The attendees also had the
opportunity to watch a practical demonstration.
It was a very successful seminar with approx. 130 participants,
who showed great interest and inquisitiveness at the seminar.
Thus the great interest in the subject “liquid spreading” was
documented in Germany, and Epoke Maschinenbau and Epoke A/S
employees are looking forward to following up on the many
contacts established over these two days in May.

in new facilities at Epoke A/S
May 2010
New liquid spreader testing facility
The continued increase in sales of combi-spreaders now results
in Epoke A/S building a hall for testing and trial runs of
combi-spreaders. Completion of the testing hall is expected
around October 1, 2010, and it will be equipped in such a way
that any combi-spreader leaving the factory will have been
tested optimally and will have the correct nozzle settings.
Of course the new testing hall will be built with environmental
consideration, including recirculation of the water being used
for testing purposes.
Renovation of current training and exhibition facilities
at Epoke A/S
In order improve the stay of our many participants in training
courses here at Epoke A/S; we’re now initiating a major
renovation of the current facilities to enhance learning and to
give the facilities a more contemporary feel.
As Epoke A/S is located in a very scenic area adjacent to woods
and lake, the outdoor facilities will also undergo some changes
in order to make this recreational area more attractive to
employees, participants in training courses, and other visitors.

Winter
road maintenance on bike paths
May 2010
Increased attention on slippery roads control on bike paths has
contributed to the fact that Epoke A/S is currently in the
process of preparing a new brochure showing the large variety of
products offered for this purpose. The product line includes dry
material spreaders, liquids spreaders as well as combination
spreaders. Many of these spreaders are available for 3-point
suspension or installed on truck bodies or trailers. For

Power
chain sawing course
May 2010
During the month of March employees of Epoke A/S participated in
a variety of courses in order to gain new capabilities and in
order to practice teamwork. One of the more untraditional
courses was in power chain sawing, which does not have any
direct relevance to the daily work at Epoke A/S. On the other
hand, many trees on the Epoke premises needed to be cut down or
cut back, thereby allowing the participants plenty of practice.
This contributed to a happy crowd of employees, who learned to
operate a power chain saw during this week of training.

EpoSat
now also in France
January 2010
In collaboration with its distributor in France, Jean VILLETON
SARL, Epoke A/S has sold its latest slippery roads control
technology.
The famous ski resort Megéve in the Alpine region near Mont
Blanc has just invested in 2 x SIRIUS AST and 1 x IGLOO S-2400
spreaders. The spreaders are equipped with data collection (Vinterman
Light) and EpoSat (GPS-controlled spreading).
The investment has attracted attention in France and has even

PIARC
congress in Canada
January 2010
This year Epoke A/S will again participate in the International
Winter Road Congress in Quebec City, Canada. The organization
PIARC is behind this congress, which is held every 4 years.
Epoke North America Inc., he Epoke dealer in Canada and the US,
has prepared two stands in the exhibition hall including
exhibition of the new liquid spreader VIRTUS AST and the SIRIUS
COMBI S-4402. Furthermore, representatives from Epoke A/S will
also be present at the congress.
The congress will be held from February 8 – 11, 2010.
